Post 16 Provision

Welcome to Bluebell Park Post 16 Provision

Bluebell Park’s Post 16 provision educates and supports students aged sixteen to nineteen years old who have a range of additional needs including severe learning difficulties, complex learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

We offer a 38 week academic year, providing a full timetable Monday to Friday from 9am—3:15pm. Our students come from Bluebell Park Upper School, Central School, and other schools within Knowsley and Merseyside.

Our vision for Post 16 is to nurture and develop students’ potential and prepare them for life and potential employment. To do this we offer a range of accredited courses from Open Awards AQA’s and ASDAN, including functional skills, enrichment skills, life skills and work skills. All students also participate in creative sessions, sport & leisure sessions and Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme all of which incorporate community learning.

A full work experience programme is currently being designed around the interests of students and this links with the curriculum to help our students achieve their aims and targets with as much independence as possible.

On a personal note, I am enormously proud to be part of the continued development of our post 16. It is a privilege to work with all the students, parents, staff and governors. For me the success of the college is derived from a very dedicated team of staff. We have the upmost commitment to providing the highest quality provision for all of our students and work together in a supportive, caring community atmosphere.

We welcome visits to Post 16, or if you have any further questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us at call us on 0151 4778350.
